As Jane said, the pompom is/are the testes, about two inches below the chest scent gland. Nesting boxes are considered differently by different people. Wood gets peed on, and is impossible to keep totally sanitary, and it is good to have a top that can open to get to your glider. I personally use baby-wipe boxes, as they are the perfect size, and easy to clean. (I use the new pampers ones, they have a two-part flip-up top. I put the bottom part of the lid down, and leave the top part up, and cut the prongs off of the hole that is already there. I will try to remember to put a pict up if you want.) As for a t-shirt, just make sure there are no loose strings or anything they can get tied up in -- I have heard horror stories about little feet being dis-membered that way. It is generally best to use a fleece or something like that that is fuzzy and warm, with no loops in the material. As for diet, the friuts you mentioned, the site was most likely referring to branches, leaves, pits, etc. of those fruits. The
actual fruits are fine. The protien/fruits&veggies ratio has fairly recently been revised to 33%protien min. I prefer Bourbon's leadbeaters mix, with Ruth's list of what goes into the rest of the diet. I will put up my favorite diet page on this post - I found it to be extraordinarily informative and helpful. And remember, when in doubt, ask, ask, ask! That's what these bboards are here for! Good luck!
