Subject: In Heat?

One of my gliders does a strange thing about once a month and I was wondering if anyone
else's does this and what it means. One night a month she is extremely vocal, making noises
that I never hear at other times. She hisses REALLY loudly in 3-4 segments, like hiss-hiss-hisssssss.
She likes me answering her with my own hissing--I get glider kisses if I do. Also, she goes hisssss-bark
and the teeth chattering noise. I let my gliders free-range in my bedroom
at night and she runs around like crazy on these nights, all hyped up. Nothing seems to be wrong
with her, she actually seems very happy and friendly. My other female glider never does this, and actually
seems a bit tramatized in the morning after a night of this. My only guess is that my glider is in heat--any other
suggestions? PS--She's not sick and has been to the vet many times.
