: Hey Everyone,
: Rooey is real healthy except she has always had a little hairloss on the end of her tail. She is clearly chewing on it, and even breaks the skin. I feed her leadbeaters, and there are no other signs of being sick, so I am not sure the cause of it. I was planning on a trip to the vet, but when I called, they are like..."A sugar what?" So maybe that wasn't a good idea. Anyone know any vets in Connecticut?

Hi my sugarglider had the same hairloss problem. The vet checked the hair and said it was probably nothing to worry about.I keep a type of hand towel in his cage to sleep in.The vet told me to make sure i change it everyday because the only thing he could think of was that him sleeping on it with urine could cause it. i have been changing out his towel everyday and the hair is beginning to grow back. Maybe yours is chewing on his tail because the urine is irritating him...
