: Ok have you read anything at all about introducing new gliders? If you dont seperate them there is a very good chance one will die. Whats the point in buying a new glider is it gets killed the next day? You never just throw two gliders ina cage togetehr that dont know each other. they are evry territorial. Lets see where to begin here. They are two males..what are their ages? After a male goes through sexual maturity thet become very territorial. If they are both of age the more dominant one can and probably will kill the younger one. If they are both young enough it will be easier for them to bond togetehr....but NOT by throwing them in the same cage. It can take months for two gliders to bond. You should have two cages side by side. I can't believe you found it cool watching them fight. Your two pets were figthing each other possibly to the death. That squealing noise was meant to tell you how upset, scarred, and possibly hurt he was. It was not meant to ammuse you. All killer has to do is bite zone on the neck, and your glider could die. Have you neevr noticed how long and sharp their teeth and claws are? Yes gliders are communal in the WILD! Your cage is not the wild. The fmailies are closly related and together from early on. They do cast away members sometimes..and they live within a huge ammount of space. When the gliders do fight they ahve a chance to run and hide. They are very protective of their nests. When an outside glider comes nearby they will attack it, and if it doenst get away they will kill it. There are several people that have posted here and at glider central that their gliders havent bonded. Some people try for moths and months. Some gliders simply will not bond to each other. The fact that he was abbandoned may cause him to be even more defensive. I would seperate them immediatly before you have a dead glider. Bourbon has a greta page on introduction..sadly I dont know the link..and I pray soemones posts it here before it is too late for you. I hope you lsiten to this advice. the gliders life is importiant here. Also please remember how easily a glider can get stressed..and get sick from stress. Both gliders are probably stressed beyond believe at this point. This could cause both of them to get sick.
