: My apologies for the lateness of my replies. I spoke to the breeder we got Maggie from and she assured me that the little pellets she provided me with are NOT the "Brisky's" diet. She said they are a self-contained diet, however, and can be ordered from a private company. She tells me she feeds all her gliders this diet, as well as fruits and treats. She has never had problems with it, so I thought I'd give it a try. At the moment, Maggie is off Leadbeaters and eating the pellets, drinking water when she chooses, and gets a grape or an apple slice here and there. She seems more agreeable now and doesn't go to the bathroom so much on me. However, I think it's still to early to determine anything definite. My girlfriend called a vet and asked about an appointment. To her surprise, the vet said an office visit was probably not necessary. She described to him some of the symptoms Maggie has exibited and he suggested that loose stools were probably caused by the "excessive" amounts of fruit juice she'd been given. He addressed the problem of her going to the bathroom in her nesting box as her "not being able to hold it." Whatever the case, she hasn't gone in her house lately, nor has she had any accidents on me or anyplace undesirable. I have watched her carefully in the last few days to see how she reacts, both in my hand and in her cage, to loud noises and the low-frequency noise from the computers, TV, etc. She doesn't seem bothered by either right now. She doesn't like not having a place to cuddle up, so she will tremble a little if she's out in the open for too long, but she's not jumping or scurrying like she's scared for now.
: What do you think? Current plan seem OK to you?
: Have I mentioned this little glider is terribly cute? She's got that innocent "What did I do?" blinking thing down pat.

Mary's right. My glider had loose stool. Check a few posts back. She looked healthy, and frisky, so we didn't think anything of it. She got so sick she wouldn't move within an hour. She died two exits away from the vet. Make sure this guy knows what he's talking about.
