Gliders need alot of care and can live for a really long time. It really makes me mad because people get a glider then after about a year gets tried of them. At my job we get gliders all the time that people dont want anymore and the gliders get so scared, they are mean to other people, and when we get a new glider we have to put them in with the adult and then the new glider gets picked on my the other gliders for about 5 days. It just really upsets me. So if your thinking about getting a glider please think and get alot of info on them before you buy!!!

I agree with everything that has been said. I have had gliders for 5 years. All has been great and I have been so blessed to have loving gliders. But I have a problem child now and it is hard. I can see how a person that has never had the responsibility for a glider would give up and yet another neglected or dead glider. I wont give up on my little problem. I will solve it. But I have also raised 3 children and have grandchildren. I WON'T allow my grandchildren to have a glider. This is a very touchy subject with me as I see to many gliders used as trophy pets and it makes me sick.
