If it's any help to you, I left mine for three days last year while my husband fed them and they were fine. I'm sure yours will be too. I had to make arrangements with my vet this time for our vacation though. Fortunately he has agreed to make room for their large cage, so at least they will not have to be in their travel cage for the week we'll be gone. I'm sorry that I won't be able to take them this trip, they usually go everywhere, but I feel that they will be in good hands. I hope your sister gets better. My father had prostate cancer a few years back, but he is doing okay now. Good luck.

: I appriciate all of you who responded to my trip question. I have decided to leave Maddie home with my boyfriend. Maddie will be in her own cage and be fed by someone who she knows. Someone wrote that if it were she, she would not take the trip. I laughed when I read that....My family lives in CA and my sister was just diagnosed with cancer. As much as I love Maddie and hate the idea of leaving her, my sister needs me and that is coming first. I don't know why I felt the need to explain my trip, just feeling defensive I guess. But anyway, Maddie will be at home in her cage from a Friday till a Sunday and I think she will be Ok. Thanks all
