Missy -

I gotta disagree here - some pet stores care, but just don't know how to care for them properly.

Nuts are high in fat and should only be given in moderation. Some people think parrot mix is not good, but honestly, I give my gliders a teaspoon of Kaytee Fiesta (with all the dried fruits, veggies, nuts and other goodies) once every week or two. They love it and would eat it all day long if I let them, but as with other fatty foods, moderation is best. I've heard some other people give their gliders dry cat food as part of their overall diet with no problems - but I've also heard that it causes intestinal blockages, so I choose not to use it.

Glideraide should be considered a treat as well and should not be given as a base diet.

: Forget what your petstore said they don't know much about sugar gliders and they probably don't care. You should forget about the whole diet except the fruit. You also need some leadbeaters which you can get off of Bourbon's page. You need more protein like mealworms and nuts. Also GliderAid is great for your gliders as well.
