number 1. it is fact however no matter what we use for a calcium suppliment that only a small portion does get absorbed into the system, the same with even the repcal, but some of it does, as with the eggshells, how much exactly we don't know it all depends on how much the blender scrapes it.. but it is some, with the repcal it states on the jar that only 35% of the volume weight is actually absorbed, that is why it seems like a lot when we add it..
number 2. It is wise to watch the calcium phosphorus ratios, for that very reason.. the leadbeaters has been setup on a higher calcium ratio than is needed but still within the high safe zone, in order to allocate for the fruits and veggies that are inverse. (menaing those that have a higher phosphorus than calcium ratio), we try to keep it as close to zero as possible.. like for instance.. in Carolyns book for 1/2 cup raw carrot it is 15:24, ca:ph, and 1/2 cup rasberries were 14:8 now with those two added together it gives a total ratio of 29mg:32mg which in itself is very close.. but that is based on a half a cup.. now if you break that down to a tablespoon, you will see those numbers drastically reduce, as well as if you munipulate like instead of a full tablespoon of carrots a tiny bit less, then that changes the ratios as well..
A very good section on my diets page is called dietary links, it has the usda data base, so you can go in and look at each ingredient for each item, as we have notice the differences like in Applejuice, the unsweeted in the bottle, has a higher ca:ph ratio than lets say the frozen or the baby juice..
