Of course that applies to me perhaps more than you :-) Currently, I'm sitting here with my hand-feeding glider in my shirt. She was rejected at 10 days oop, right after her eyes opened. Her sister is happy & healthy with mom and dad, but this little girl was found on the floor and mama wouldn't let her in the nest. On the plus side, she now eats out of the lid from a baby food jar so I can sleep nights again.

In my experience, any type of facial injury indicates rejection and if the baby is left more than a day or so after the injury it doesn't usually survive. I've tried letting nature take its course, but it is much too upsetting so instead I compromise. I let the mama have her way and get rid of the glider and I stay awake for endless hours handfeed to poor rejected baby. I think it's worth it!! :-)
