I saw my first glider about two years ago. I worked in a vet clinic and a lady came in with one in her pocket. Then last summer I got the copy of Critters magazine and Caroline McPherson's book. I researched on the web for three months. And then it happened!! My friend, who operates a ferret rescue, received two older male gliders. I brought them home and it was love at first sight. Unfortunately one of them (Spike) died of heart problems two months later. (My vet tried everything but to no avail). I believe they had been fed cockatiel food before I got them.
