Just a suggestion while you are getting ready for work let him run around out of his cage a little while unless you have problems cathing him that should work but they do need at least 2 hours of attention from you and some play time also.as for the vet for nail trimming that is a good idea unless you feel secure in doing it yourself or when you go just have the vet show you how.good luck and i hope play time works ou..

I am having problems finding times for letting my sugar glider play outside of his cage. I get off work at 4pm and as soon as i come home i take him out and let him sleep in my pocket, and he stays in there till about 8 or 9:00. well..i try getting him up then because i have to work early so im usually in bed by 11, but he doesn't want to wake up and if i take him out, he immediately tries to get back in my pocket. I'll wake in the middle of the night and hear him climbing all over his cage and he is still up when i get up for work..i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what i could do about this..also..one more question..i was going to take him to the vet to get his nails trimed because they are getting very long and they are scratching the heck out of me..is this a good idea? thanks for any suggestions.
