I agree, do as much research as possible. I have two now, but bought my first as a spur of the moment decision. I wouldn't trade my gliders for anything, but if I had known then what I know now, things might be different. It takes lots of time, patience and money to own gliders. Most of all though, it takes lots of love. Do your research, you will find in the long run it will be worth it.
