Actually, there is no need to cut down on the time. Many gliders spend the whole day on their owners. My little Star is in my bra from the time I get up until I go to bed at night. (Except when she's in my hair, on my shoulders, etc.)

: Yes it is ok as long as the pouch can be closed and left a tad bit open for air to come through (you can close it all the way if it is a breathing material). You can definately open it to pet him/her or to offer a treat (just keep it closed while your not paying attention to him/her. You should probably do this an hour and a half a day while you are getting to know your glider and then you can cut the time down later.
