I have a male and female pair in my office at home. They have two dishes of food so that they don't fight over food. Taz was a very aggressive guy a year ago so he was separated from my others. I recently added the female and they seem to get along well.
My problem is that Taz is getting very fat. If I limit the food, Emma will get none. She is very timid and will not compete with Taz over food, i.e. the two bowls. I've put her in the cage first at night to eat but she picks at her food whereas Taz perches on the bowl and eats away. I could go to 2 cages but I don't want to separate them all night since they wakeup/eat at about 11:30pm and through the night. I could separate at night and reunite in the morning but...

Any ideas on how to slim him down w/o starving her?
