Even 5 weeks OOP is too early. Crabbing is normal due to fear etc. Talk to your glider while it's in the cage, offer treats but pieces of fruit, stuff animal is okay but be careful. A loner is okay as long as you spend time.

Remember, daytime is bonding time and night time is play time. During the day, take it out and gently place in closeable shirt pocket or a pouch and care it around. I had better luck with a sleeping pouch in the cage vs. a nest box.

Have patience and keep at it. Do not just let it stay in the cage day after day. You are HUGE to it so be gently and calm.
