I know exactly what you mean Bourbon! Those darn little pins drive me crazy. Since I sell wodent wheels, I put several of them together everyday and I can't count the number of times I've had a pin drop into the wheel, on the carpet (which is then near impossible to find), or even fly across the room.
I think Eric changed the design because the ones with the bolt caps would sometimes come loose when the glider ran in them but I never I had that problem with the ones with wingnuts.
