thank heavens it wasn't one of my babies! a girl at work got a new female for her male, she says the female was weaned two weeks ago. don't know how old she was before that. it seems they put her in cage with the male (4 months?) and they were in their pouches, she came out and then he did and he jumped on her and broke her back. she dragged her hink legs around and they took her to vet her xrayed her and said back was broken so they put her down. don't know if she was too young, or had calcium deficiency or what. she came from a reputble breeder in the area (I think). my guys jump on each other all the time in play and husband wife 5 second spiffs!!!! hope it was just a freak accident and not cos baby girl was unhealthy to start with.
