I would wait until after he's neutered to put them together because there's always a chance they could mate. I've heard that it doesn't take long before the male is back to normal after neutering. So when he's to be back to normal I'd introduce them. When I introduced my male and female together they were fine and got along great. I know, the barking is so annoying especially when they won't stop. Maybe you can seperate the cages far enough away so that they can't hear or see each. I can't answer the last question because I haven't neutered my male quite yet (I've had a set of babies and now another one to come, so I'm gonna neuter him soon). Hope everything works out and goes well.
