: 1. Does anyone use the hanging beds in your gliders cages? If you do, do they like them?

YES, hang their nesting box high in the corner.

: 2. What vitamins do you need to purchase for gliders and where do you get them? How much and how often do you give them?

A powder additive like for ferrits or rabbits or birds will work. The main thing they need is Vitamin D and Calcium. I sprinkle some on mine maybe twice a week, just when it feels like they need a good fix! As long as you give them a varied nightly diet, they will be pretty healthy.

: 3. If I make my own nesting box out of plexiglass and then paint it black, what size should it be?

DONT PAINT ANYTHING!!!!!!!!! Chemicals will kill! If you make a box, do not use paint, glue or anything adheisive. Use braces and screws and bolts that wont hurt them. I have found that plastic containers such as for small ice cream or powdered foods or whatever make a great nesting cage hung by a bent paperclip.

: 4. Do you use a water bottle in their cage or a bowl? Do they drink a lot of water?

Water bottle only. Water bowl is unsanitary. They do not drink a whole lot. A lot of water comes from their fruit diet.

: 5. Did any of you have gliders that were instantly friendly or does it always take a while for them to bond?

My female baby was instantly friendly and is wonderful, but I handled her parents and her way before she left the pouch. It always takes time and lots and lots of patience and smart thinking. It is way too easy to lose patience when trying to tame a pet; DONT!
