I too, have problems with sharp nails. My friend clipped her glider's nails and after that she said he had a hard time latching onto surfaces when he glided from place to place. She has natural wood paneling that he likes to climb on, and he couldn't get a good grip on landing. I have branches in my cages as well as a cement perch, the cement is very helpful in wearing down their nails. I don't use sand paper because my gliders eat it!
