: : I just purchased a sugar glider on Saturday. He is very crabby, but I keep working with him. But I can not seem to get him to eat. The breeder I purchased him from said he has been on solid food for five days. The only thing I have gotten him to eat is a few grapes. The breeder said he loves sweet pot. and also canalope, but I have placed them in his cage at night and he hasn't even touched either of them. The first night he cried almost all night, last night not as bad. If you have any advice please respond. Thanks, Crystal

Try giving him some baby food, mine like custard as a special treat. Leave it in a dish for him and try to leave him alone for the next couple of days till he settles in

: Offer him a small dish of nectar. Also you can offer him some gliderade, mixed five parts water to one part gliderade, then give about 1/2 ounce or less. Continue to offer the other foods and give him time and watch for signs of hypoglycemia.
