Dave-
Personally I do not recommend feeding cat food to sugar gliders- it has a lot of stuff in there (ash, chemicals) that gliders can absolutely do without . Plus it has a lot more fat than food made specifically for them . But it's a personal choice on whether or not to feed it. Usually people feed it to provide protein, but you can provide it in alternate ways- pinkie mice, mealworms, crickets ( all three available at just about any pet store), fuzzy mice ( if you aren't squeamish about removing pelts). But if you don't like handling bugs and/or dead mice, or your gliders simply don't like them, you can feed them such things like skinless chicken or turkey (turkey being a personal favorite of my pair) or canned fish like salmon, tuna, etc. But like I said before, it's a personal choice. Experiment and find out what your glider really likes.
Good luck with your fuzzy ones :) !
