Hi Welcome,

I too have a sick glider with hind-leg paralysis. He is about a week and a half into recovery and he is doing much better. I am very courious as to what you have feed your gliders. Also what treatments does the vet prefer in treating this terrible illness?
I too have tried to post my experiences here so they will benefit other owners.
Thanks

Jo

: I was e-mailed by Terry to see if I would be interested in sharing my glider medical experiences with other gliders owners. I have been a glider owner for 3 years. At one time I bred them and had over 50 gliders in my home. I am a Veterinary Assistant and have been for 4 years now. the vet that I work for has experience with gliders and has had the opportunity to neuter male gliders, has helped treat 3 gliders with hind leg paralysis (none were my gliders), has done an eye enucleation (eye removal), has treated abcesses and even treated gliders that were hypoglycemic and tested positive for Salmonella. I have access to glider blood values and other medical info that can be useful in assisting owners and their vets in the treatment of gliders. I will be posting interesting cases that relate to gliders in hopes of helping to understand these wonderful pets.
