Kris, It is not uncommon for them to reject them if they have never tasted them before, There are a couple of things you can do. Start off by first breaking it in half and offering it to him, juicy side first. If he still doesn't want it. Try cutting it up in 4ths the first night and laying it atop his food, then thirds, the second half etc. then by the time he should already have the taste for it in his tastebuds. The insects are a very important part of their diet. The exoskeleton provides them with certain nutrients, as well as calciums. As far as Crickets break it in half a couple of times. Offer him the juciest, Gooiest part.. God luck , by the way if you have it in you.. you could also try spiders, they love those too..
