also....you could try a little vaseline or bag balm. Bag balm is not harmful if it is injested, I found it at the pharmacy, It comes in a green tin and has been around forever..

: I would suggest a humidifier. Dry heat during winter months will dry gliders skin just as easily as ours... You can also tempt him with fruit juices mixed into his water to hydrate him internally.
