i wouldn't put it on anywhere near them (fumes) and keep an eye on it to check for chipping, peeling, etc. plastic is not digestable. it can impact thier intestines, slice up thier insides, etc. but there is that danger with any coating. i have to get a pvc coated cage because the galvanized one began rusting.....give it a go! blessed be!
