I was wondering what had happened to her I had left on vaction for a month and left them in good care I bought them Brisky's sugar glider diet to make it easier for the person who was taking care of them she fed them fruit whenever she could and mealworms. They said she was behaving normally.
and I knew it said on the package that it contained the right amount of calcium and protien.along with the fruits and everything else . 2 days before I got back she had died the male was fine and still is. I was wondering if anybody could give me some insight on what kind
of problem it could have been, and if anyone has another female could keep him company .He is'nt to friendly with me I had gotten him so my girl would'nt be lonely when I was'nt around

Perhaps your little girl missed you, I had one of my gliders die when I was gone, and a friend was taking care of them.

I agree she mught have died because she missed you. A month is a long time for a bonded sugar glider.

Most gliders hate briskys and would rather starve than eat it. If you switched diets right before you left there is a good chance that one of your gliders was no eating the briskys at all. They were sometimes getting fruit and mealworms..which keept it alive...but that wouldnt be enough to keep alive for long. I understand you were tying to make things easier for the petsitter but gliders are very pickey eaters and most times will not easily accept a new diet..especially briskys. When going out of town you should keep them on their normal diet so you know they are eating properly.

I tried Brisky's too and I would not recommend it. My gliders who did well and were happy on my diet became aggressive and did not take care of babies when on Brisky's. Did you friend handle the gliders and spend time with them daily?? An animal used to that would be lonely......Sorry for your loss.
