Um, this is probably a stupid exsplanation but it is the best I can come up with.

Say you are on a swim team (and you LOVE swimming). Why do you want to go to the practices? You like swimming. Why do you like swimming? Is it because it is fun but work? A commitment? You know because you adore it, you have reasons, you are commited, you've seen what your getting into, and you decide how much you like it, you plan...
Sorry for the silly analige. You have to take those things into consideration.
If in doubt, don't get one. You should only get one if you are sure you want one. That's as far as I can help ya. You gotta know urself!

You need to do research first...Get and read Caroline MacPherson's book SUGAR GLIDERS. Then ask youself if you're willing to commit to the glider and care for it for the next 12-15 years, spending time with it daily. If in doubt, do not get a glider....If you are sure you are up to the commitment, go for it. Even with all the work, gliders are wonderful companions, and I'd rather care for a glider than have to clean up after a cat or dog....but the choice is yourss. Good luck.
