All of you out there that know my situation, help me!!!. I contacted that "place" that I got her and he offered to replace tiny with a new one AND pay for shipping to me. Thats a total of over $200.00. He said that he was very very sorry. He said that she was doing good when he sent her, and I have to admit she was doing good when I got her, for the first few days. I know that theres a chance it could go bad again, but he's just gonna sell them to someone else. Wouldnt it be better if I got him/her? This is the only thing that they offer. (probably think Im crazy)How should I respond to his offer? The reason that I havent gotten another one is cause I havent had the money. Do I take the chance again? What should I do??!!! frown Help!!!!

I think that he's doing OK by "replacing" her (I use this term lightly because I know she can't be replaced in your heart), but I don't like the idea of him shipping another. That alone is very traumatic and could cause health problems or death. Is there any way you could go to pick out another? That way you can choose the one you want by personality AND you can make sure he/she is old enough to eat on its own.

Since you both agree that she was doing OK for the first few days, I don't think you can recoup vet bills.

I'm sorry this has happened to you. Please try again but pick an older joey this time.

Good luck. E-mail me if you'd like!

Well, I know from personal experience how hard it is to lose a joey. When I finally went out and bought another one I was so happy. The second glider will never replace the first, but it did help heal my wounds. Take the offer..If you decide once it is there that it is too hard, sell it. It could become someones first. Email me and let me know what you do. Good luck. smile

Lin, I'd ask the guy about a 30-day health guarantee: Tell him - how do I know that I will not get another animal only to have the same thing happen again?? I'd like the pick out an animal and have a guarantee - so I can take it to a vet first to make sure it is ok....I would not have the joey shipped.....You should be there to pick him up and see if you get along, etc. Hope this helps, Lin, and keep us posted. Good luck, Barb (PS, he'll probably give you a hard time about the health guarantee, but I'd be FIRM in my demand for it given all that you have already been thru....As for the vet, try to talk him into a free checkup exam, given you past bill.)
