Uh, what noise do you mean? If it sounds kind of like a minture chainsaw then that is crabbing. It probably is just frightened of ya or nervous. Good luck!
P.S. I am 11 too, and I want a glider, but don't have one yet.

Your glider is crabbing/fussing its a sound they make when they are either frightened or aggitated

Kelsey, I live in Fl too. When I got my first glider, names Hercules, you could not walk by his cage with out him crabbing at me. Now when I walk by his cage (a year and a half later) he peeks his little pink nose out of his bedding to see if I might have a treat for him. Try to handle your baby when things are quiet in your house. Talk very softly to him while you do it even if he is crabbing! and offer him treats while you are holding him. You can also get like a fanny pack..you know the purse that goes around your waiste.. and put him in that with some soft rags for bedding and just sit with him in there while you are watching tv and such! I'm glad you found this message board so we can help you with your new pet. It definitely sounds like your glider is expressing its fear with a noise called crabbing. Your glider is probably afraid and confused and may need to be left in its cage for a few days. It would be best to just talk to your glider and slowly start the bonding/trust process.
