My glider is 9 weeks oop, I have had him since he was 5 1/5 weeks oop. My problem is he will not eat veggies and now he wont eat his fruit. He does eat the BML. I have even tried putting applesauce on his BML but then he wont even eat that. I have tried him on the mealworms and even breaking them open but he does not like them as well. He is drinking lots of water and eating 1 cube of the BML a night. He will eat about 1/4 of a grape from my hand per night. Do I just have a very picky eater? Can he get too much protein?

LOL they are all picky eaters! You will find that a favorite food today will be ignored tomorrow and an ignored food today will be a fav tomorrow! They like lots of variety! However yours is still a baby and hasnt yet developed a taste for much of anything yet.Have you tried to mix some veggies or fruits in the bml? If he will eat grapes from your hand maybe hand feed him some of the other stuff too? Wishing you the best....

What fruits and veggies have you tried? Maybe we can offer you some suggestions. Try fresh peas -- they go over well.

Also you might want to try and use a mixture of green beans (split open) and yellow squash both chopped finely... this combo works well with my pickier ones... As far as fruit be sure and try seedless grapes and watermelon ( be sure and remove seed) This might help you I hope

They can definately be picky eaters. They will each have their favorites that they eat first. Here are some of their faves: Corn, red grapes, peas, yogurt, cantelope, mealies...good luck

My Kiki is also extremely picky, but her absolute fave fruit is Asian Pears...it's a combination between apple and pear. A little expensive, but she devours it. Also, I give her baby juice about twice a week (about two teaspoons each time) so that she still gets the benefitse of fruit. She likes this a lot and it's always gone by morning.

i have started blending fruits (like banana, grapes, apple,strawberry,blackberry,...) in the blender and then freezing it in ice cube trays for my new babies and they have been really eating it...maybe they like the texture of leadbeaters..you could try this...(i also got ice cube trays with tops so it wont go bad..good luck. also i wouldnt try freezing it in a tupperware because it will turn into one solid block..this was my first mistake...good luck

Thanks to all of you. I have tried just about all the fruits that has been suggested except the pear and I will try that tonight. I have even tried juices and he wont touch that. Every evening when Im playing with him he will eat just a tiny bit of either apple, orange or grape. Is this enough fruit? As far as the veggies goes he wont touch them even out of my hand.

Have you tried tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots? Mine love cucumbers...I also give them frozen mixed veggies. I usually take warm water and a little gliderade and mix it up with the frozen veggies...if the veggies are too cold the babies tongues can stick...be careful. Like everyone says, one day their favorite is one thing and the next...something else.
Hope this helps you.

I have never bathed mine, the keep themselves pretty clean....if they are bathed they run the risk of getting too cold. Most owners, I am sure do not bathe theirs. Did you try cleaning it's cage more often? My girl starts to smell bad when her cage needs cleaning.

i just got a new product called glider glo (from brisky) it is a spray that you spritz on your glider to condition their coat and to neutralize the odor...you dont put any water on them just sprits a little glider glo on their fur (but avoid the head..you dont want it in their eyes) it seems to work ok...dont drench them though..they could catch cold..just a litle spritz
