i have two glider babies that seem pretty much ready to leave their parents...i have found a wonderful person who has done her research and whom i know will be a reat glider mom for them to live with..now here is my dilema...as i said the babies seem pretty much ready to go..they are fully furred (down the tail) they eat leadbeaters and some fruits (especially blended and frozen ones) and some regular food ..but mostly leadbeaters. the problem is they still make the baby cry (ttssss ttsss) when they are taken from mom and dad for short periods of time...does this mean they are not ready to go?? i want them to bond with their new mom when they are young..but am still unsure when the best time to separate them is... (i know what the textbooks say...and by that standard...they seem ready...fully furred, they are around 2 1/2 months old.ect so my questoin to all of you is: am i being paranoid and over protective (maybe because i am sad to see theise little darlings leave) or do i have a real reason to think they arent ready to go?

Well, welcome to the "Glider Granny/Grandpa Club". These little guys can really tug at those heart strings, can't they, lol.
Your babies are definitely ready to go to their new home ... the age is perfect (8-10 weeks) and they are eating very well on their own.
Here is the problem ... letting them go. The home you have for them sounds wonderful and an added bonus is that they will stay together. The little noise you hear is their learning to "crab". Pretty soon they will have accomplished this and will be full fledged crabbers, lol.
Also, don't worry about mom and dad ... they will be fine. You may not even be able to tell that they know the kids are gone smile

Well I dont know about glider babies cuz I dont have any babies but I have 2 adults. But I know even puppies when they are of age seem ready and eating and its sooo hard to let them go but you know you have to, but the usually cry the first couple of nights because mommy isnt there to comfort them but you know they will be ok. Just another way to relate...Hope that helps a bit!
