My female, Weezer, has started to sing! It's the sweetest little sound. She usually does this when she and our male have been playing apart from each other, then come back together, or when she's in the pouch and he joins her in there, but she also does it to me sometimes when I first go into their room to let them out to play. I will try to record it for the board -- it sounds like a trilling whistle, with a specific "tune" to it. Anyone else's gliders do this?

My Josie sang for the first time today. I thought I had heard all their sounds, until I heard this quite sound. I couldn't figure out who it was or what was going on. At first I thought one of them was having a breathing problem as it was just the one sound that would go along with a breathing pattern. I took Joey and Josie out of their igloo, but left them in their cage. It was Josie, and she continued making this one quite whispering sound, then got a drink. I took her out of the cage and held her. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with her, this is a new sound and Josie will be 4 yrs. old Jan. The next thing I know this one sound turns into several little sounds that were in a pattern, but the pitch would go from a higher pitch than I've ever heard then down a little lower, with a few little contentment sounds thrown in. I held her in amazement as it was such a sweet sound and it was as if she was singing to me. Of coarse I then immediately had to call B. and let her know and confirm the singing.

Isn't it sweet! She was very quite and rymthic (sp?)in her singing. I hope she does it again some day as it is so pleasant. And she doesn't have joeys. My Joey boy has been netured.

I think perhaps she carries a better tune than I do. Think maybe she was trying to tell me something? LOL

OK, Bourbon, I have to agree both Josie and Joey are quite spoiled and have me trained well! LOL Thanks for sharing my excitement with me. Now you know you've got to record Baybe singing and get it on the sounds page, so other's will know the sweet singing. What? You say what about me doing it? Right. I'll be dead and gone, before I ever figured out how. LOL

Dawn, do you think Wheezer, could have some family additions? That would be wonderful!

Well, it's surely possible (what a comeback for Petey that would be, huh?), but it would surprise me -- they're pretty young yet. Petey doesn't even have a bald spot yet. However, Petey was (ahem, how do I put this delicately?) uh, "flossing", as I've heard it referred to around here, if ya get my drift! My husband said "whoah, boy, careful with that thing!". So, I'll keep watching to see if there are any new developments!!! ;)
