Any type of ointment made for animals are safe to eat, since animals have a tendency to lick wounds.

I know this won't seem like much help, but you need to call the vet and tell them what happened.
I feel certain that the vet will want to know about this since both were seen by her.
As horrible as this sounds, I would refrigerate the baby and ask the vet if she would like to have to baby to perform a necropsy. This seems unthinkable to you, I know, but if it will help her learn about gliders, then both she, you and your remaining gliders will greatly benefit.
Give it some thought, please.

Babies should be removed from their parents as soon as weaned which is around seven or eight weeks oop. Scratches to the face area usually indicate that the parents are becoming frustrated with the growing demands of the older childern. Usually by this time Mom has another Joey in pouch. Move the remaining baby to a seperate cage ASAP or you may find it dead also.

Some parents if housed in a large enough cage will tolerate several liters of babies while others prefer their babies to move on so they can concentrate on the newer generation.

I would say it was not the medication as there is nothing that I can see would hurt them if they had indead washed it off of the baby being treated.

But to be on the safe side: 1) move the baby out from the parents now. 2) call your vet and ask him about the medication.

The baby that is still alive is not old enough to take him away from the parents. i would love to let them alone for a few days but i need to keep up on the cream so his face gets better. Dad is tring to bite me now and just the last 2 days he was getting so close to me and now he won't even take a treat and runs right to the house where the baaby is. Infact the mom and dad won't even take the babys out of the house to teach them anything and i think now that they are missing a baby out of there family they are not going to let me any where close to the baby What should i do, There were no marks on the babys that died.

No there was only 2 babys and the one that was not hurt is the one thst died. they were oop on sept 18th and that would be ablmost 4 week oop. Icalled the vet she has no idea but mom and da won't let me near the baby to care for it, also mom bit at the baby when i put her back in today but i think she was tring to get me dad took the baby and then things quited down and i left them alone. Should i just let them go for a few days and let them deal with the stress of the baby loss. help please no one seems to know anything about this.
