I just got a sagar glider. he is 7 weeks old. The problem is my mother and I do not know if apple sauce with sugar is ok. We bought a mott's applesauce. it has apples, water, high frutose corn syrup, sugar, rasberry puree, syrawberry puree, blueberry puree, natural flavor, ascorbic acid, and red and blue coloring. is this bad for him? My mom got him to lick some and he liked it. should I stop letting her do that? Please post fast.

I would use in moderation for now mainly because of the age. You need to make sure he is getting the proper diet and don't let him fill up on "sweets". Using this as a licky treat should be okay.
I do know that people use the flavored applesauce, but I am sure the natural is probably better.
We all give our kids "sweet things" you know. ;)

About the diet...i got my gliders from this breeder that has me feed them this way...i always have the eucalyptus pellets in a tray for them...day one i give pieces of fruit...apples, blueberries, grapes, raisins...even some babyfood fruit if i don't have good fresh, day 2...applesauce and yogurt, day three...fresh or frozen vegetables and day 4 protein...cottage cheese, scrambled eggs, chicken or whatever...sometimes some babyfood meat if i have none from supper...this way they will be sure to get all the necessary vitamins and not have a deficiency...it works...they are very healthy...i also give them this gliderade i make from a powder...maybe some nuts here and there....

Has anyone notice how briskys isn't being called briskys anymore, they are calciumim pellets, or euchalyptus pellets etc.. just a observation.. I don't suggest them for such a young glider by the way...
