For those of you that use Gliderade:
How often do you offer it? ie. every night or everyother?
Also how much do you offer?

Just curious ;)

Rebecca
I offer "Gliderade" to my "Little People"
3 times weekly. They love it!
1/2 tsp - Gliderade
2 1/2 tsp spring water

I do not place this in their cages until late & it is taken out early in the morning.(1-6am)
I feel if left out too long - it goes bad raspberry

I offer it every night about 2 TBS of glideraid and 10 TBS of britta water and it is split up between 3 gliders is that too much? I have one glider in a cage by itself becsaue it's new and it loves the stuff. My other two gliders drink it but not too much. There is always some left over in the morning. I was just wondering for I should cut it down to every other night?

Vitamin enriched nectar supplement for sugar gliders. Provides essential nutrients as well as double-cracked bee pollen. Simulates the nectar/sap/pollen sugar gliders eat in the wild.

I took that straight off the Exotics Central page go to http://www.sugarglider.net/supplies/
and click on glideraid to get a better idea of what it is. But basically it's this powder that you mix with water 1:5 ratio

Most people believe it should only be give 2 or 3 times a week...so you may wnat to cut down..do they get plaun water? Gliders need to drink water by itself daily.

I give them both plain water & glideraid. I keep the water in their cage at all times and only put gliderade during the night. The only reason I offer glideraid everynight is becasue my new SG will only drink that.

Well as long as you keep offering it your new glider will probably always drink that and not the water. They really do need the water. Try to wean the baby off of it by adding a little more water each time. Your goal should be to get all the gliders to drink water.

Tina Marie,

Glideraid is not essential, but a good nectar supplement that is tasty and has many important nutrients. It is very good if you have a pregnant mom glider because it is also a good source of calcium. So a sugar glider does not need it, but

(sorry I posted before I finished raspberry )

so to finish Lol... but it is a good supplement (I sprinkle it on my leadbeaters mix every second day). I dont feel that it is necessary to give glideraid if you feed a good, well balanced diet. I just do it as a little extra boost for my gliders especially because they are breeding and the moms are feeding joeys.

Angie ;)
