Still hopeing someone can help. Have looked at all the links recently posted on here. Most don't mention ficus trees, one says toxic and one says non toxic. Can anyone give me a more definitive answer?

I believe this is the ficus plant which you are talking about.
My list does not show that it is toxic to animals.
It does state that exposure in humans to the juice or sap can cause dermatitis.
While my gliders do love my large ficus in the den ... it is silk. I have never let them play on the live one we bring in from the deck in the winter. I keep it in another part of the house.
I don't know if this is the information you are looking for or not. Hope it helps.

My gliders have two live ficus trees in their room, I'll double check the exact kind when I get home tonight. They have had these trees for two months with no problems.

OK, so I checked the pots when I got home because I remembered a label on the side. You'll never guess...."Ficus - Standard". Fat lotta help that is, eh? I believe they are "weeping figs". Sorry I'm not more help on that!
