Will he be allright should i keep him separate from the others. Also he didn't seem to let it bother him at all no squeels and no sounds at all. Let me know soon. thanks frown

Justin,
Please, Please, Please take your little glider to the vet. I am sure that your Vet will have no problems taking payments for the cost of the vist. Please at least call your vet and see if you can work something out.

Sometimes the vet will take payments.. but most of the time they will not... especially if your a new client..if you can't get him to the vet... i would just keep a real close watch on him..but call around and see if you can find a vet that will do this for you

Rocki's Mom had a glider with a tail amputated. I am sure there was some ointment that she put on it for infection. You might want to write her and ask her. In the mean time put neosporim and if you see it licking it off, you might want to make it a paper collar. Her name is Carolyn and this is her address babygirl@ccp.com

Even if you are a new patron, most vets will have you pay a percentage of the cost, and just postdate a check. Good luck, get some help for him! I'm sure you can find SOMEone! Too often we see people take on pets, but do not realize the responsibility of them. They need a lot of love and attention just like children, however, unlike children, they can't tell you when they don't feel well, what hurts, why they're sad...etc... you have to KNOW your pets and how they act to interpet them. A lot of people do not want to pay the expense...for example, my younger sister-in-law (12 yrs) was given a kitten for his birthday. My mother-in-law (I use the term "mother" losely) called us one day saying the kitten had worms and she couldn't afford the vet bill. So, my husband and I paid it (because I'm a sucker for animals) and got the kitten fixed up. About a month later, she called again... a kid had hurt the kitten awfully bad. She brought the kitten over and I could tell that his pelvic joint was either fractured or broken. I begged her to take the poor dear to the vet. Told her he'd help with payments, blah blah blah... She said she couldn't afford it, but she'd think about it. Unfortunately, I was unable to give her the money that time, for I didn't have it myself. Plus, my husband felt that if we did, she'd keep doing this and we'd be paying for everything, without having the cat. (he has little respect for his mother as well) At any rate, I found out that she called the Animal Shelter, told them she found this kitten in her front yard, and something was wrong with the leg. (oh, I saw RED) They picked up the kitten, told her if it was something serious, they would just put the kitten to sleep. She didn't blink, and nothing more was ever said about it. People who abuse, neglect, or give up an animal should be shot! It makes me soooo mad. At anyrate, go find a doctor for your baby. For the love and loyalty it's given you, and for the committment to parenting you gave to it when you bought it.

Oh, point on my story, after the kitten was given up, a day later, my mother-in-law spent over a hundred bucks to have her carpets steam cleaned. That money could have went to that baby.

Just remember they are a lot of work. They're not like a hamster, bunny, or guinne pig where you can just put them in a cage and let them entertain themselves. They take a lot of committment and dedication. For a LONG time! You can't just get bored with them, their survival depends on YOU. If you are absolutely positive you are up for this kind of committment, good luck!
