I HAVE A TWO YEAR OLD NEUTERED MALE GLIDER THAT MAY NEED A NEW HOME. RIGHT NOW I'M WORKING FULL TIME AND GOING TO COLLEGE FULL TIME, AND DON'T FEEL THAT I CAN GIVE JAKE THE ATTENTION HE NEEDS. I LOVE HIM DEARLY BUT FEEL GUILTY FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO SPEND MUCH TIME WITH HIM. I WOULD LOVE TO FIND HIM A HOME WITH OTHER GLIDERS OR WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS THE TIME TO SPEND. I LIVE NEAR CLEVELAND.

Jennifer, I live near Akron. I have a mated pair (Petey and Weezer). I'd be happy to give Jake a home. If you want to visit us to see how my gliders are treated, their habitat, etc., we'd be happy to have you over. E-mail me direct if you'd like.

Dawn is that your Weezer that is on the Webshots pictures? I saw some pics with a glider named Weezer and they were so cute!

Jill, it's possible that's my Weezer -- I haven't heard of any other gliders by that name. Where exactly did you see the photos?

Dawn,
Did you name that sweet little girl after Weezer on Steel Magnolias?
Just curious.

No, actually, I'm a Little Rascals fan -- Petey is named after the dog, and Weezer is named after Spanky's older brother (I know, girl with a boy name, but it just seemed to fit her so well when she was a crabby little baby!).

I guess I made an hones mistake since I'm not old enough to remember the Little Rascals ...
Now, I'd like to talk to you about buying this really great bridge I have for sale in San Francisco, hehehe

I live by Akron also. Do you take your gliders to get their nails trimmed. If so where. I have a great vet who does it now and who i will continue to take them to for health visits, but she is almost an hour away. (we just moved here)I know that there is a vet in kent that will take gliders, but I do not want to take my babies there until I hear from someone who goes there.

Actually, I trim my glider's nails myself. We've worked out a deal with them -- they get half a peanut if they will sit still and eat it while I trim their nails! So far, so good. We do this about once a week or so (when I start getting a ton of scratches on my arms, it's time wink ).

KarenE -- yeah, and I only watch the Rascals in reruns...now, about that bridge... raspberry

I wish I could trim mine, but there is no way they would sit still. I am too afraid that I would cut off their little toes.

smile Hi, I have a male glider named Xylo. I have been trimming his claws myself with baby clippers but sometimes I worry that it hurts him. I am extremely careful and I only nip off the very ends (below where the white turns to clear) but I still worry because sometimes the claw splinters a little. Is there a clipper especially for gliders? What's the best method?
