It would be my very strong suggestion to wait until the weekend when you are home.
Let them play together like on Friday night like you are doing now ... put them in their separate cages when you go to bed ... in the morning put them together .... BUT be there and be ready to separate them if they do not get along and wait another week before trying again.
If you have no success this weekend, then repeat the process next weekend.
Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes.

If you have a boy and a girl you might not have any problems keeping them together. You should try it for one night when you can stay up for a while and watch them. with most animals if they are going to have a problem they will have it within a short amount of time. But you shoud try it for a while and if you don't decide to keep them together just keep them in the same cage for a while and gradually increase the time.
