Hi Kristina,
I have some questions. How long do Gliders get? Do they stink if so can you get rid of the smell? Do they bite if so can you tame them?

If your sugar glider is giving off a musky oder and its cage it clean, he is telling you loud and clear that he is UNHAPPY! Where is the cage. Is it drafty where the cage is? Do you bump into it when you go by? Does he have a little home where he can sleep and have some privacy? ANYTHING THAT UPSETS A SUGAR GLIDER CAN GET HIM TO GIVE OFF AN ODOR. Brand new babies out of the pouch will sometimes give off an odor the first few times you pick them up - until they get used to you. Also, I can always count on an odor when I introduce a new animal next door to the regulars. Sugar gliders can be very TERRITORIAL: Some of my tamest ones will bite me if they smell another glider on me. Trust me: I always wash my hands before handling another glider.

Please post pictures of your babies. My glider LADY had a white baby with black eyes too, but it did not live. Lady had two babies in her pouch at that time. The first one was about one month older, and when he came out, so did the younger white one. (He was far, far from being old enough and could not compete.) The white one was so much younger that it wasn't close to having anything resembling fur yet, so I'm DYING to see pictures of yours. Thanks, Barb
