We welcome you to PUPAE HAVEN for a restful and safe transformation. Here you will find 8 to 16 days of safe seclusion far away from hungry larvae while you finish out your final instar at your own pace.	Fresh beetle drawer. Notice the bird feeder that holds water to keep up the drawer humidity which increases egg production.	Fresh beetle drawer with few or no hatched eggs.
Worm drawer after beetles and hatchery have been removed.	A larvae eating his parent.	After mealworms exist and feed in a container for weeks, their poo will build up and the substrate will become toxic. Here we are running it all through a medium strainer to remove the large worms.
Beetles get put into a fresh drawer after they pupate. I have water in the drawer to raise up the humidity which increases egg production.	Adult mealworms from my first round of beetles. I just moved the beetles to a fresh drawer once the offspring got too large.	A simple 3-drawer Sterilite container from Walmart holds my mealworm farm. I did not need to drill any vent holes or modify in any way.
Light makes them scramble.	You can see the recently shed chitin exoskeletons from the tiny worms dangling under the carton.	Beetles lay eggs and hatch wormies.
