So the last couple weeks, Aussie and I made some progress...

I managed to get all of her nails trimmed without one bite or incident... She crabbed a few times and tried to pull her foot away but we got through...

She seems fairly glad to have them done... She doesn't stick to EVERYTHING now lol... I was tempted to change her name to "Velcro" if I couldn't get her trimmed up

She also allows me to pet her and rub her ears... She voluntarily climbed onto my hand and went all the way up to my shoulder... it was definitely a huge moment for me...

I know it doesn't seem like much but it was a really big step and I'm really pleased our progress!

I got Aussie I think the end of January, She is getting to be a real sweetie, although she was a real wild one when I first got her.

The easiest way to get them to let you do their nails is to give them a treat and clip them while they are nomming away.... roll down the pouch, grab a foot, pop some fleece over them and clip away! ^.^

How long have you had her? She sounds like a sweetheart. Haha I have the same issue with my Luna. She sticks to everything, I wish I could trim her nails but I don't want to take the risk just yet, I'm waiting for our local pet store (very reputable with glider care) to re-open, hopefully within the next month (they burned down last November ]: ).

I feel so stupid, being so happy over this, but my babies mean the world to me... I'm so happy to see her happy...

I'm just so pleased, she seems far more interested in me as well... she was scooting around the floor last night like a little roadrunner!

She used to be all hunched up too... She looked like a little old lady, but now that she is out every night her back is flattening out again!

Oh!
Big news!!!

Last night she was perched on my arm and I was wandering around... She started frantically running back and forth, standing up on her hind legs and rocking.. Then, for what I'm nearly certain is the first time in her life, she lept off my arm and tried to glide!

I was so happy I could have cried... it was beautiful and heart wrenching at the same time... <3 I'm so happy and proud....

Congratulations! Small steps can be more of a thrill. "Velcro" is hilarious. Keep up the patience and good work.
