My yorkie puppy, jasper is the worst when it comes to grooming and the fact that i need to brush him every day does not make things easier. I need to hold him and try to groom his face wich is impossibal because he will wiggle and bark and yelp like he is being murdered.
So i was wondering if there was any tips on getting him to like or atleast hold still while brushing, i have tried treats but now he wont even take them even if im not planning on brushing him!

I was a groomer for 10 years - so here is what you do:

Pick Jasper up with your hands placed under his front legs - your arms straight out in front of you. Make certain he is NOT eye level with you. Hold him that way until he stops fussing and wriggling and becomes limp like a rag doll. The reason for this is to show who is dominant. It is not mean and it will not hurt Jasper. Do this everyday until he quits struggling with you.

Another thing to do is teach him to stay.

I honestly don't know anything about grooming except that the gliders spit in their hands, my cat licks herself and when I had a dog, she had short hair. Other than that, I'm no help I'm afraid.
