It really iterates me when someone says the desperately needs a home for their sugar glider. They've said they've looked every where for a good home for their baby. Then the wanna charge an outrages price for it.
You proceed to tell them you'd love to give them a good home but can't afford 300+ dollars right now, but are willing to pay some. They don't nudge one time.

For some reason these people tick me off. If you are in desperate need of a good home for your baby, then price shouldn't matter. I don't care how much you 'put into them' . Idk, maybe it's because I treat mine like they're my babys.

I see this happen a lot on craigslist and the glider ends up going to a horrible home were no ones knows anything and isn't willing to learn, just because they have the money.

What are your opinions?

what ticks me off,,I have a male he isn't fixed. I contacted a lady who just lost theirs. We were chatting by email and she says she would love to see if he fits in with her family. She wanted to take him then just give him away again if he didn't work out. So I backed away.

Exactly, I treat Sassy as my baby. I'm at my parents right now and I keep calling the boyfriend at home asking how she is. Even tho I know she's asleep. But since she's not sleeping in a fleece pouch I try to keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn't hurt herself in the pillow case she sleeps under.

It just ticks me off. That's what is making it so hard to find Sassy a cage mate right now. There's no one close with one that needs a home. I can't afford a $150 plus gas for a 2-3 hour trip.

Just because I can't afford $200-$300 all at once doesn't mean I can't afford to take care of them. I have the $50 for food and extra money for vet/emergency care.
I don't see how people can ask all the money for them, knowing someone is going to have to go out and spend 100-200 on a cage, and vet bills.

I'm not getting mad at those that sell them for money, that can keep them as long as needed.

This is more to those that can't take care of them, and can't have them.

Idk... I home this all makes sense.

I agree, too. I have not received all of my current gliders for free, but certainly would not expect big rehoming fees for any of them if I needed to rehome them. I see my gliders as family members under my care. I do not see them as investments that I am looking to gain a return on!

I completely agree with you. I really wish these people would look at the big picture beforehand and not commit to taking care of something they won't even care about once the newness wears off. Since that is so much to ask for at least they can not try to put so much effort in to making a profit off of it, or even just breaking even. Thats the price , live and learn. I wish they would put the effort in to finding a loving, knowledgable, forever home.
