Ok well my akita Ginger is about 100lbs and someone left the cage door unlocked and Max my cockatoo that is about 3lbs got attacked by Ginger. My mom grabbed Ginger in time to stop her from bitting down on Max. She had him in her mouth. I grab Max to check him over and he is fine. And as soon as I grab him he says "Hey brittney give me a kiss" he is happy go lucky right now. Loving on me. I have him in my lap right now. There is not a mark on him.

Thank you PW. We are watching him closely. If he starts to act funny we will take him to a vet.

Be sure to keep an eye on your bird though because even though there were no marks a dogs saliva can cause infection for a bird when it is ingested through preening. Also the stress of the initial attack may not show right away or even for days as a birds system is very delicate.
