I was glad to see so many respond to Carleys' request for prayers in the aftermath of the horrific Oklahoma tornado today. In writing this I do not in any way mean to take away or belittle such tragedy but I am mystified, I admit. I asked for prayers for my sweet sister who at 67 has battled a rare liver cancer for 4 years. She underwent a complete transplant last Friday, including the biliary system, and had a few very rough days after having a reaction to the anti-rejection drugs. She still has a long road ahead.I lost my Dad to cancer, then my Mother less than 2 weeks later. The week my mother died, we learned my sister had this horrible disease also.I feel like I have been living a 4 year long catastrophe. I got 1 reply- from Kittygirl. I have seen so many on here offer support for divorce,break-ups, unruly children, etc and was rather hurt by GG lack of response.Just saying.... Please take a moment to remember everyone on here needs support, sometime.
If you did pray on behalf of Sharon,Thank You.

Wendy

I didn't see the post either...I usually don't go into General Chat and probably wouldn't have seen this post either except for the new format in Active Topics. I'm so sorry for everything you have gone through. I know what you mean about living through a 4 year catastrophe. My husband's mom died a few years ago, suddenly from a fall, hubby melted down and quit his job and moved 2000 miles away to be with his dad during his last 8 months of life because he was blind and disabled. I was finally able to relocate to be with him when his dad passed. My parents are in their 90's and still live in their home but dad is on a feeding tube and requires 24 hour care so I quit my job to help them (at least I didn't have to move though!) Anyway, most of this isn't tragic, but you definitely have to get used to a "new normal". Again, I'm sorry I didn't see your post! You have answered many of my questions about gliders and I'm sorry I wasn't there for you! Hugs!!

Hey ya'll !
Sorry for the rant yesterday- it has been an overwhelming week for me! Thanks So Much- I need to rant at myself now, I don't know what's going on in Your lives either- but if ever you need anything in/near Ga let me know! Lisa, I hope your husband is ok! I have been car-less too- it is a major pain! And I know you need your vehicles! Sugarmom- thanks so much- yes this disease hits not only the victim but all the family and loved ones! Hugs and little glider kisses to you all! I am a -witch sometime- I have been working everyday so haven't had any downtime to rant about anything to anyone so you all have been the whipping post for my silliness- I appreciate you all more than I can say.Still praying for Oklahoma! God- so so horrible! I am leaving to go to Ft Lauderdale to see my daughters and grandsons tomorrow morning! If any of you are in that area- hi! Wish I could meet you. I will miss my furry girls so much all week. My other daughter is coming to babysit- they are comfortable with her, at least enough not to feel lonely and she is crazy about them. Trying to post a pic of my girls since I never have. Love and hugs to you all-

I don't remember seeing your post either. My mom has had to fight cancer herself and luckily they caught everything and she is ok. I will pray for your sister and you as well. Your all she has so try and be strong for her. Prayers to all in OK as well. Keep us posted on your sisters out come, I am sure she can get thru this. GOD BLESS

Sorry....I haven't been here for a bit and didn't see your post. You have had a stressful 4 years! I hope your sister's surgery is successful, and that your whole family has calmer days ahead!

Wendy,
I'm so sorry I didn't see your post. I have been so busy with my own life I haven't had a lot of time to check the forum too often. Been looking for a new vehicle for hubby because he totaled his a few weeks ago. I pray your sister has the strength to overcome this horrible tragedy she is dealing with. And for you because it sounds like you are a major support system for her. Hugs
