NO offense but you have been told alot of misinformation, about sugar gliders. Like the person said above you need to educate yourself, and read the gliderpedia. Read other posting about diets, bonding ,housing and wheels that should be used. That pellet gravy stuff, you should threw away and buy something that in nutritious and good for them. Like HPW, or a BML diet. knowledge is power

I'm assuming you have a sugar glider and the best advice I can give you is to check out the the Gliderpedia and read as much as you can! Knowledge is power! |

Hi! Just want to add that if you have the nail trimmer insert in your wheel and your glider's nails are still sticking, the trimmer isn't enough. You will need to trim your little one's nails or get them trimmed at your veterinarian's office. I have two gliders. The wheel trimming inserts work great for one of my gliders and not at all for the other glider. |

quote: You should put ALL of the food in the cage in the evening just before or about the time your glider usually wakes up. Gliders are nocturnal and do 99% of their foraging/eating during the night. A few gliders might get up during the day and get a drink of water and eat a little if there are treats in the cage, but most gliders do not get up at all during the day and would miss out on key nutrients if part of their overall feeding was put in the cage in the morning. Feed 1 TBS HPW, 1 TBS fruits and 1 TBS vegetables (per glider) in the evening. Gliders have small stomachs and eat only a small amount each time they visit the plate, but they will eat several times off and on all night long.
You need to put all of their food (HPW, FRUIT and VEGETABLES) in the cage in the evening - gliders are nocturnal and eat off and on all night long to meet their nutritional needs before they go to sleep for the day. Most gliders do not get up to eat during the day. Some folks leave a few pieces of dry food in the cage or a slice of apple in case their gliders wake up for a snack. |

you need to trim the nails, that's why they are getting stuck. |

I would toss the pellets, or only put a few in the cage during the day for snacking. They should NOT be a primary part of your glider's diet. Yes you can use the Glider Gravy, which is actually HPW Complete, as your gliders primary source of protein, vitamins and calcium. Along with it you should be feeding 1 TBS fruit and 1 TBS vegetables per glider each night - with 1 TBS HPW Complete mixed as directed on the package. If you want to continue with the HPW Complete you can order more here: http://www.critterlove.com/diet-info.html
If you want to look at other widely used glider feeding plans, I have links on my web page to help you locate the information on plans that have been used successfully for over 5 years by many glider owners. http://www.gliderkids.com/contact.html
