Due to recent scams I wanted to make a poll getting everyones input about my idea. Im a Scentsy consultant and would like to start a fundraiser for a rescue. I still have to find a proper rescue and get everything set up, but a percantage of the sales would go to a rescue for sugargliders. Would you buy Scentsy products to help a rescue? If not, can you please adress your concerns so I can properly answer questions and sort any issues out?

Thank you!

Understandable! Im not fighting you at all! Ive spillt it on me and had no reaction at all. But everyone is different! :) And its safe to turn it off anytime u get them out just in case! My room is in the basement, and the warmer is on one side and the cage on the other. I dont need one making a run for that area and even taking a chance on hurting them selfs by diving in. lol. I dont like taking chances like that either. But like I said, and as you probrolly will know, the scents that come with it can fill numerous areas pretty quickly! Its pretty amazing in my book! I love the thing. :)

Yes, that's what they say about the wax but I've accidentally spilled it on the back of my hand and I had a red welt for 2 days. It was freaking hot. If the warmer has been plugged in for a while and you try to grab that hot ceramic with your bare hands, that will burn you too. I don't care what anyone says.

I don't think it should be in a room with gliders either. If it left a welt on me, it could easily burn their little hands. Plus, they might like the smell so much that they take a bite when it's back to solid form. There are too many risks with the warmers for me to have them in my glider room.

I think people need to be aware of potential hazards if they're not familiar with a product. That's all.

The wax does not get hot enough to burn if an accident accurs. Just want to get that across! But I turn mine off 30-60 minutes before play time to be safe. I love it because they smell amazing, fill a large area with smell, does not get hott enough to burn, and helps take the small smell from having animals away!

My commisions since I only started this not too long ago are 20 percent of sales. SO it just depends on how much is sold to know how much we will raise.

Again this is all just an idea of mine! I dont want to cause any trouble.

Hope the info helps!

Scentsy is legitimate for sure. I use their products ALL the time. I think at least 6 of my friends are consultants. The part about commissions is a little confusing on their site though:

http://scentsy.net/host-a-party/scentsy-fundraisers.aspx

Just a note for anyone not familiar with it, these should not be within reach of any animal or child. The top is open with the melted wax...and the warmers get very hot. They smell awesome though...no doubt about it!

A scentsy warmer looks like this!

Its a warmer that doesnt get hott enough to burn the wax just melt it. No smoke, no burns... its just a safer alternative.

Im not sure why the term fundraiser is used. All I know is thats the term they use. MY commission from all sales put into this specific funraiser goes out to the rescue. I will not be making any money off of this. Which is seriously ok by me.

This is just my way of getting to help. Whether or not its a scam and they will recieve the money has to be based off whether you think its a scam or not I guess. Which is why Ive been trying to go through the proper channels and going about this correctly! But I have everyones best interest and my own in mind here. Ive been apart of GC almost a year and GG just a little less than that. So the last thing I want to do is promise something big like this and not follow through! Thats not my style and I def would not wanna mess with the suggie community if I did that! LOL!

You guys are more than welcome to contact certain people off the forums who know me if youd like. Im a very trustwothy person and def mean no harm!

If I cant do it here I just wont do it. LOL I have a handful of suggie people on my facebook but not enough to make any good amount for donations. I can always make my own party that the sales commission goes to a rescue but I just wanted to do this where Suggie people can get involved!

IF its a No go, I totally understand! I dont want to be hated or scrutinized in the end. I just want to help. So thats why Im leaving it up to you guys!

I will do as Im told Kazko! Just gimmie the word!

Thanks!

Stacie

I cant tell the difference either. To me it sounds like a pyramid kind of deal. I'd have to see how money collected gets distributed out and I dare say that we probably wont ever get to see that.

To be honest my concern is the term "fundraiser." Maybe it is a fundraiser, but then again maybe this is just marketing.
